נולד בשנת 1967, התחיל להרים משקולות בשנת 1979. ע"פ האתר שלו, ההשראה שלו לפיתוח הגוף היה החבר של המורה שלו. המורה ראתה שהנער די שרירי, והציעה לו לפתח את גופו. היא הכירה בינו לבין החבר, שהיה מפתח גוף. החבר הציע לו חומרי קריאה, ומשם ההתלהבות גדלה.

התחרות הראשונה שלו היתה בשנת 1984, התחרות הראשונה שלו כמקצוען היתה בשנת 1994. בשנת 2003 הוא אושפז בגין עמוד שדרה מדולק, בשעה שהתאמן עם דוריאן ייטס.
